Complete Home Millwork Project

Paint Grade Maple 4-Panel Doors

Paint Grade Maple 4-Panel Doors

We recently completed a project in the Madison, WI area where we provided all the doors, cabinets & millwork for a 10,000 ft custom home.

The interior doors were 1-3/4” thick four panel (flat) & shaker design. Several of the doors also had 3 & 6 lite transom units included in the door assembly. The exterior doors were also a 4 panel (flat) shaker design but included sidelites & overhead transom units in the door assembly. All exterior door units were 2-1/4” thick with insulated glass.

All the cabinets throughout the house incorporated Blum soft close drawer slides & door closers and the drawer boxes were made of solid maple with dovetail construction. Additional features such as; pull out trash bins, pantry pull outs, chrome under sink organizers, spice racks, custom range hood, cookware organizers, base cabinet filler pull out units, chrome blind corner optimizer, drawer organizers, pull out cutting board, bread drawer, file drawer systems, wine rack & pull out hamper units. We provided complete cabinet sets for a larger custom gourmet kitchen, (4) bathroom vanity sets, entertain center, craft room/wet bar, laundry room, mud room, (4) office desk units, dining room, living room & billiards room wall units and (2) custom single beds with wall surround storage unit.

The custom millwork portion of the project was also very extensive. Included detailed ceiling beams for over 50% of the house, wainscoting, window & wall panels, crown molding, base board molding, & one piece stairway wall panels along each side of the stairway.

This project took approximately 9 months to complete as we worked directly with the contractor to sequence the delivery of all the finished cabinets & millwork items on the requested dates. Many items were designed & built in advance & put into storage so they were available on the dates requested by the contractor. This gave the contractor the flexibility to make adjustments when his building plans changed. He could bring in items earlier when project sequencing changed as it typically does in many large home building projects.
